Ingredients & Safety
Are your ingredients really natural?

Yes! Our products are formulated using botanical oils, natural butters and waxes, plant extracts, and gentle actives chosen for skin health. Where preservatives are necessary, they’re used in minimal and skin-safe amounts, always balanced to preserve product integrity without sacrificing skin safety.

Do your products contain synthetic fragrances or harsh chemicals?

We avoid unnecessary synthetic fragrances, sulfates, parabens, and harsh chemicals wherever possible. Each ingredient is carefully chosen for its gentleness and efficacy — because healthy skin doesn’t need to be harsh.

Are your products safe for sensitive skin / skin prone to redness or irritation?

Yes - many of our formulas are designed with sensitive skin in mind. We recommend doing a small patch test on a bit of skin (e.g. inside elbow) if you’re trying something new. If you have known sensitivities or allergies, you’re welcome to email us — we’ll help you pick the gentlest option.

How do I know which product is right for my skin type?

Skin types and needs differ, so we design our range to cover common skin concerns - from dryness or dehydration, to dullness, to balancing oil. If you’re unsure what to pick, drop us a line - we’ll happily guide you to something suited to your skin’s needs.

Do you test on animals?

No - we are proudly cruelty-free. We never test on animals; we prefer real skin, real results, and real respect.

What does “small-batch” / “hand‑crafted” mean at Hale?

Every batch is made in-house, in small quantities, with care and intention. We never mass-produce - which means freshness, attention to detail, and high‑quality botanical formulations every time.

Usage, Storage & Routine
How should I store my products to keep them fresh and effective?

Keep them in a cool, dry place — away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Closed jars and properly sealed bottles will preserve the integrity of botanical oils and active ingredients so they stay effective for when you need them.

Can I combine your products with other brands or is there a risk of conflict / pilling?

Most of our products are formulated to be gentle and compatible with other skincare, but layering too many heavy formulas (or applying before previous layers fully absorb) might cause pilling or reduce efficacy. For best results, allow each product to absorb fully before layering the next.

How often should I use each type of product?

It depends on your skin type and the product’s purpose. For example, gentle cleansers and moisturisers can be used daily; serums and oils usually 1–2 times per day; masks and exfoliants perhaps 1–2 times per week. If you’re unsure, reach out - we can recommend a simple routine to start with.

Orders, Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship to Australia and beyond?

Yes - we ship across Australia. For details on international shipping (if available), please check our Shipping Policy or contact us directly.

How long does shipping typically take?

We aim to process and dispatch orders as quickly as possible. Generally, orders placed before [cut‑off time, e.g. 12 pm AEST] will ship the same day. Delivery times depend on your location and chosen shipping option.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

If your order hasn’t yet shipped - yes, we can usually cancel or adjust it. Once it’s dispatched, though - we’re unable to intercept it. Contact us ASAP and we’ll do our best to help.

Sustainability, Ethics & Brand Values
Is Hale Botanicals cruelty‑free & vegan?

Yes - none of our products are tested on animals. And many are formulated without animal-derived ingredients. Check each product’s description to see if it’s vegan.

Do you use sustainable & ethical sourcing for ingredients?

We carefully source botanical oils, waxes, and extracts with sustainability and ethical practices in mind. We believe in mindful skincare - good for your skin, and kind to the planet.

How fresh is each batch? What if I’m worried about expiry or potency?

Because we make in small batches, each product is freshly crafted, kept stored appropriately, and shipped out quickly. For shelf‑life and best-before info, check the label.

Do you do wholesale, bulk or custom orders?

We’re open to small wholesale or custom orders. Please contact us with your request and we’ll let you know what we can offer and timeframes.
